Deer

Scotland’s landscape has long been home to its native deer. Red deer and roe deer have roamed these lands for centuries, becoming iconic symbols of our environment. Fallow deer, introduced in the 11th century by the Normans, are now considered a naturalised part of Scotland’s wildlife. My red deer images were taken in the Highlands or on the West Coast, and the roe are more local to me in West Lothian.
