Photography Talks

I love talking about nature and Scotland, with a wee bit of photography thrown in for good measure.

Some people have a swear jar, I have a "talks about wildlife when not asked or prompted" jar!

I would love to come along to your event, camera club or organisation to deliver my photography presentation.

Virtual or in person, I can work to your requirements and deliver an entertaining and informative presentation, showcasing my work and stories. Hopefully we can have a few laughs along the way too.

If you are interested in inviting me along to your event, please get in touch so we can chat this through.

Galasheils Camera Club

We very much enjoyed hearing about your family’s background, especially the local connection, in photography and how you have both developed your very impressive skills. We have quite a few keen wildlife photographers in the club so it was great seeing Scottish wildlife and the information that you shared about how and where to get great shots.

Mid Lothian Camera Club

Just a few words to say how much I enjoyed your talk to Midlothian CC last night (1 October). I don't do wildlife/nature photography myself but I really did appreciate your images, your obvious knowledge of the beasts and birds and your concern for their wellbeing. In particular I admired the pictorial artistry evident in many of your images.

Fantastic images tonight at Midlothian Camera Club, we had Clare giving us a talk on her wildlife images and letting us know about the opportunities for photography trips and some nice locations not too far away. Thanks, we had a great evening.

Devizes Photography Club

Falkirk Camera Club

Just a note of thanks for your fabulous presentation to our camera club last Thursday evening.

Your wildlife & nature images were truly outstanding & I can honestly say that they are the benchmark for all photographers to achieve.

Mid Calder Camera Club

Many thanks for the superb talk tonight at Mid Calder camera club. Loved your enthusiasm and skill capturing all the wonderful wildlife images on show.

Kinross Camera Club

On behalf of Kinross Camera Club I would like to say a big thank you for joining our zoom meeting last night to share your wonderful wildlife photography.
In addition to seeing your fantastic images it was interesting and inspiring to learn about your approach to capturing shots of wildlife whether from hides or out in the field. It was great to hear the background stories behind your images and to learn about the habitats and behaviour of the various species.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and giving us loads of hints and tips which we can put into practice.
It really was a very entertaining talk and you have a natural ability to engage with an audience.

Kidlington Camera Club

Thanks for a great presentation last night.  It shone through how passionate you are about wildlife, both with and without the camera.  The images were fantastic and really showed the animals in their natural environment and interacting together.

Linlithgow Camera Club

Thank you very much for your talk. It was very well received and has generated a lot of interest in local wildlife photography.

Wellington & District Camera Club

We do indeed thank you for your most interesting talk, everyone really enjoyed it, especially our wildlife photographers.

Thank you also for your excellent talk last night. I appreciated your information, including guidance to everyone about taking care of wildlife.

Paisley Colour Photographic Club

I really enjoyed your presentation at the Paisley Colour Photography Club last Thursday. As well as the images being fantastic I loved your style of presentation. Some good humour there also! I also know that the presentation was warmly received by everybody I spoke to afterwards and the general chat since then.

I just wanted to email you and say thanks for your excellent talk last night. I really enjoyed it and the members gave good feedback also. It was great to hear about how you take the photos as well as touching upon some of the more emotional aspects of photographing.
